I have now finally received a reply to my emails from Reiss Studio and it would seem they are definately still in business.

I've been trying now for over a year to contact them and they havent responded yet !!
I am out of patience. I bought this software hoping to save me some time and I haven't been able to use it.
Well I've recently met a person who can HACK their software for a reasonable price
if they still CONTINUE to ignore me I might pay this person and release it to the PUBLIC just to make a point !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I emailed Smith Micro (Poser People) to see if they could help with my non responsive C4D Plugin. The info I have from them is that Reiss Studio are no longer in business. Seems they have taken the money and run. If this is true they ought to shut down their site and return all monies.

Hello Amir!
I paid 179 USD to purchase "body studio 2.7 for max" one week ago, but Reiss Studio doesnīt send the license file yet. So I canīt use body studio to introduce character into max.
In any case, I donīt understand something. If Body studio plugin exists (I think that it exists because it appears in a lot of articles through internet) why Reiss studio doesnīt give us the license file.
What do you think?
What can we do?

I have recently been able to get Body Studio 2.6, Poser 6 and Max 8 to work just fine. The challenge I'm having is the textures, but the model and the animations comes over just fine. Hank

I was curious if a Poser (Version 4/5 or 6) to Maya 6.5 plugin is in the works? Can the current version for Mac be used in Maya 6.5 (Mac)?
Thanks!

In your poll you mention Lightwave for Poser translators.
I would ask where is the Lightwave Body Studio?
Only ProPack for Poser 4 had this feature and all the Lightwave users I know could use this plug-in again!

Just added my vote of support for a LW plug via email as requested. My guess is that it would be hugely popular. Can't happen soon enough in my opinion. Please make this happen!!

Does Body studio support 3DS Max 7?
Also, when a poser file is hosted, is it possible to pose and animate from within Max? I could sure use this feature for a current commercial I am working on.

Based on the fact that the first discussion was when Poser went from V4 to V5, and that 2 versions of Body Studio have been released since then for other packages, and Reiss's silence on the subject since 2003, I think it is safe to say that a Lightwave version is not in work, and will probably not be put in work until Reiss receives several thousand more requests for it. I.e. the poll is just fishing for interest, but there hasn't been enough from Lightwave users to make Reiss think there are enough seats of Lightwave to make it worth their while.

we are looking into re-porting the technology to the macintosh for new versions. The early version of macintosh demand was very low, but we are looking into this again now that Maya on the Macintosh is more mature, and seems to have a wider customer base.
Send an e-mail to support@reiss-studio.com that you are interested in more information on the macintosh version when it becomes available, and make sure to have a login on the website (register as a user) with the option to get news from reiss studio turned on.
